General Notes

The Euro Enduro is a 3,500 mile driving event that follows a different route each year – for 2012 we are travelling through 8 countries in 8 days as well as taking in the Transylvanian Alps & Transfagarasan Pass in Romania. A rest day with no driving is included - this will be at Budapest. It is open to all makes, types and age of car.

IT IS NOT A RACE, RALLY OR TIME TRIAL. There are no time constraints or destination arrival deadlines. It is intended primarily to be a fun, social driving experience where like minded petrolheads can get away from it all by driving, dining and telling each other far fetched stories about their cars, their daily exploits and past adventures and encounters. And a casual dress code!

Note couples are welcome and typically make up 30% of all attendees on this event.

The Price

£2,900 per car (£1,450 per person) based on 2 drivers sharing accommodation (£2,800 for CD Tour returnees).

Itinerary

Sat 14 July (Folkestone - Annecy)
The initial meeting and registration will take place at the Holiday Inn, Folkestone. Following a drivers briefing we will drive to the Eurotunnel terminal (5 minutes away) for the channel crossing, followed by a drive south via the superb French motorway roads, to our first evening’s destination, the fantastic Palace de Menthon overlooking Lake Annecy.

Sun 15 July (Annecy - Ljubljana)
Crossing through Italy, we will drive into Slovenia arriving at the capital Ljubljana by late afternoon. We will meet in the bar of the fantastic Grand Hotel Union prior to a trip into the city.

Mon 16 July (Ljubljana - Belgrade)
We will continue east, crossing into Serbia around lunchtime prior to arriving at the capital, Belgrade. We will be staying at the Hotel Moskva, a grand old hotel right in the centre of the city.

Tue 17 July (Belgrade - Bucharest)
More driving east, this time crossing into Romania and once again on to the capital city, this time Bucharest and the awesome Athenee Palace Hilton.

Wed 18 July (Bucharest - Transfagarasan Pass - Budapest)
Some great  Alpine driving roads are taken in as we drive past Sibiu on the way to the infamous Transfagarasan Pass, high up in the Transylvanian Alps. Following lunch in the mountains we will proceed onto the capital city of Hungary, Budapest, one of the finest cities in Europe.

Thu 19 July (Budapest)
No driving today means we will all get the opportunity to chill out, recuperate and visit the great city of Budapest.

Fri 20 July (Budapest - Innsbruck)
Heading west, we will drive through Hungary and onto Austria, arriving at the beautiful city of Innsbruck high up in the Dolomites by early evening.

Sat 21 July (Innsbruck - Tilques)
Final push north west, through Austria, crossing into France and once more picking up the French motorways all the way up to Chateau Tilques.

Sun 22 July (Tilques - home)
Quick 20 minute drive to the Eurotunnel terminal then home.
