General Notes

The Nurburgring 700 is a 700 mile driving event hosted by Circuit Days every year since 2005. For 2011 it includes a private car only track day on the awesome 13 mile Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. It is open to all makes, types and age of car including race cars.

IT IS NOT A RACE, RALLY OR TIME TRIAL. There are no time constraints or destination arrival deadlines. It is intended primarily to be a fun, social driving experience where like minded petrolheads can get away from it all by driving, dining and telling each other far fetched stories about their cars, their daily exploits and past adventures and encounters. And a casual dress code!

Note couples are welcome and typically make up 30% of all attendees on this event.

Important Update!

The Nurburgring 700 has run successfully since 2004 however it has become increasingly difficult to run the event on public ‘Tourist’ days. It is for this reason that the format has changed to 2 nights accommodation and 1 private car track day. The day will be run in regular open pit lane track day format and to ATDO & AMRCO insurance regulations.

A confirmed place includes the track day, return channel crossings, 2 nights luxury accommodation at the brand new Lindner Nurburgring (located at the circuit), & buffet evening meal, all for 1 car/2 people.

Why a Private Track Day?

Public ‘Tourist’ days at the Nurburgring have continued to get busier annually, with up to 100 cars and 100 bikes on track at the same time. In 2006/7, it was possible to complete up to 30 laps over a public weekend. This would have cost approx. £150 in lap passes. This is no longer possible. Even if it were, it would cost over £500 in lap passes.

With a private track day, 30 laps is achievable in 1 day. The circuit would be fully marshalled, track day insurance would be valid, 3rd party liability cover would not be necessary & overtaking rules would be enforced as per a regular UK track day. The full straight would be in use therefore there would be no need to come into the pits after every lap.

Quite simply a better, safer and cheaper way to lap the Nurburgring.

The Price

£1,000 per car (£500 per person) based on 2 drivers sharing accommodation (£900 for returnees). The price for solo drivers is £900. A £300 deposit can be paid online or by calling the booking office on 01302 743827.

Itinerary

Sunday (Ashford - Nurburgring)
The initial meeting and event registration will take place at the Ashford International Hotel, Kent. We will then head to Folkestone for our channel crossing then on to Nurburg. Track day registration will take place at the hotel in the evening prior to drinks in the hotel motorsport bar!

Monday (Nurburgring)
Drivers are free to lap the greatest 13 miles of tarmac in the world for the entire day. 9am - 5pm (no stop for lunch), with no bikes, buses or crazy locals on track! A group evening buffet meal will precede champagne & event awards presentation!
